We live in a temperate climate up here in Northern England, but the Pennines seem to have their own unpredictable micro-climate. Distant London could be basking in 28 degree heat, and not-so-distant Manchester might be enjoying a few degrees lower, but sunny, while we hardy folk of Huddersfield have to put up with cloudy, possibly drizzly and a smidge on the chilly side.
But not for the last couple of days. Mid 20’s are a heatwave for us, so we tend to flock outside to enjoy the nice weather while it lasts, it is probably gone the next day.
Here are a couple of images I took in St George’s Square while the fountains were gushing and people and pigeons wanted to cool down.
