Before I leave my office building forever in a month’s time, there was something I was just itching to do. I like photographing chimneys, rooftops etc and had always wanted to scramble about on our office roof, sneak round the chimney stack and pretend I was a cat burglar.
Last week I did just that. Venturing further than the top of the fire escape gantry, I shinned down the vertical ladder, probably flouting all health and safety rules in my anxious quest for some interesting photos, and explored the maintenance accessway for a few minutes. I did feel a bit naughty doing it, but it was fun.
And just to prove it was me…
That old Drifters tune comes to mind here, Jill 🙂 I thought I was a bit eccentric with my photography antics, but these are lovely, especially the black and white. There is certainly something about rooftops and chimneys, especially on old buildings. I also like to photo gargoyles on churches and old buildings, but that is another story 🙂

Nearly called this ‘Giggler on the roof’ as I giggled with glee and naughtiness. I do like poking around in old buildings and photographing interesting architecture, so with you on that one. Glad to know I’m not the only photo antic eccentric out there.
